puzzled

Really good to play at the Puzzle again last night - it's been streamlined and customised for music (proper job there) so there's now enough room for the Zeds to squeeze in. Lovely new PA too, so Steve and Wally could hear what they were singing for once. Thanks to Martin for setting up the gig and for inviting us back later this year - to check out what's coming up at the Puzzle, click here.

another great night at Cookies

You wouldn't think a Thursday night in the middle of Halifax in early January would be much fun, would you? Well think again - our gig last night at Cookies attracted a good crowd who seemed to really enjoy our music again and we had a terrific time, despite some little end trouble outside (don't ask...) Thanks to Julie for inviting us - we hope to be back at Cookies in April. And if you're on Facebook, find the group called Cookies Bar and join it. Spread the word - it's a little gem of a venue in the middle of Halifax, and comes highly recommended by us.

a happy new year at Kebs

We had a wonderful time up at the Sportsman's on new year's eve. We nearly got The Committee up on the stage for a couple of numbers, but we couldn't all reach an agreed keyboards/lack of keyboards/what planet is it/unable to figure out Ian's keyboards/manage without the keyboards position and time was ticking away.... Maybe we should plan a joint gig some time soon? Post a comment if you think it's a good idea :)

Whatever, everyone was up for a good night and we all had a great time. It's really good to see our friends dancing, singing, enjoying the Zeds' music . That's the special thrill that adds extra fire to our playing together. Really looking forward to the next gig, full strength.

....and big thanks to Phil for standing in so skilfully in the lead guitar role.
